We have endeavoured where possible to make The Ship as accessible as we can, but this is a 16th century pub so we are a little restricted.
There are two steps to enter the pub with grab rails on both sides. The outer door is always open when we are, the inner door is not difficult to open but you might want someone to help if you use sticks. Once through the door the bar area and restaurant are all on one level.
If you are in a wheelchair, we do have an access door to the lower restaurant where you can wheel straight in. Please ask when you book or a member of staff upon arrival and we can open this for you. Unfortunately, from this area the toilet can’t be reached. There are two disabled friendly toilets in the village square if required.
To access the ladies and the gent’s toilets are two small steps with a rail on one side. The gents have two easy open doors to access the ladies just the one.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff.
